How to Apply Membership?
To become a member of the GAODL, we shall require from our applicants a completed form selecting either Certified Member or Accredited Member rank. All applications shall include particulars of their open and distance learning programs. Applicants are encouraged to submit a copy of their open and distance learning prospectus, brochures and promotional scripts. Applicants are also encouraged to submit a copy of their curriculum outline of the programs offered.
Subsequent to application form submitted by the applicant, the GAODL evaluators shall look into the completeness of the information. Following which, the GAODL evaluators shall submit a report for consideration and final verdict of the GAODL.
The GAODL, will then analyze the application of the applicant for the membership type selected by the applicant. The GAODL, may request for additional information and documentation, if required.
Issues arising from the review, including possible evaluation of courses by a specialist, and onsite inspection by designated evaluators, if required by GAODL.
Our evaluators and designated offices will work with the applicants to reach prerequisite standards, if required.
The GAODL evaluators and designated officers would provide particular consideration to the following:- Publicity, Advertising and Pre-course Information
- Selection and Admission of Course Participants
- Course Process and Evaluation and Assessment
- Course Structure, Syllabus and Content
- Progress and Assessment and Course Administration;
- Staffing
- Course Evaluation and Quality Assurance Procedures
Members shall agree to adhere to the GAODL Code of Ethics, and are required to provide evidence that suggestions and recommendations made by GAODL evaluators have been acted upon.
