Membership Category
The GAODL offers two separate membership categories, to institutes offering open and distance education, Certified Membership and Accredited Membership.

Certified Member
GAODL Certification signifies that an institution and its programs are achieves its individual goals and the same are assessed at irregular intervals and also meets the standards set by the GAODL. The initial assessment procedure for Certified Membership requires GAODL to look into the operational and curriculum issues essential in providing quality open and distance education.
Institutions shall comply with the minimum operating standards required by GAODL with regards to the institutes services and quality assurance. Institutes have to showcase the same to our inspectors and representatives during the initial application process.
Use of GAODL Logo:
Subsequent to receiving the approval for becoming a Certified Member by GAODL, the institute or organization, the GAODL Logo may be displayed on their prospectus, program-materials, certificates, on other publicity or promotional materials, and their website.
A Certified Member may use the Statement:
"Certified Member of the Global Association for Open and Distance Learning"All certified members will be issued a Certificate of Membership. The Certificate of Membership and the institute's GAODL membership is valid only for the period upto which membership has been granted by the GAODL.
Certified Membership does not imply GAODL accreditation on its certified member's institution or organization. Any claim or implication of accredited status by a Certified member is forbidden. Incase the applicant has passed, obtained or undergone formal accreditation process and obtained accredited status from an organization duly recognised by the GAODL or comes into existence by virtue of Federal or Government, GAODL may waive or reduce the initial evaluation. Any part or parts of the application and approval process may be varied at the unconditional will of the GAODL, without formal notice.
Accredited Membership
The GAODL Accredited membership is primarily for Universities and Autonomous Educational bodies which and are licensed and have the legal right and authority to award degree's by their respective administrative authorities. The GAODL encourages development through continuous self-evaluation, review and nurtures academic brilliance through the improvement of values and strategies for measuring academic efficiency.
The minimum operating standards required by GOADL shall be met by the institutions and applicants. The applicants have to display the same to our assessors, representatives and officers during the application process.
An Accredited GAODL member may display the GAODL Logo on their prospectus, program-materials, certificates, on other publicity or promotional materials, and their website.
An Accredited Member may use the Statement:
"Accredited Member of the Global Association for Open and Distance Learning"Accredited Members will receive a Certificate of Accredited Membership for the duration of their membership. Accredited Members shall receive a Letter of Corroboration.
